Kanom Krook !


Kanom krook or Coconut rice cake ! it is a popular street food since i born and it come with so many topping this-day! The original topping is green onion which many people would never though how it will goes but believe  me that is very delicious and yes it is goes so well but of course corn taro and other favors which came after also very good as well. 
The shell made from coconut base with jasmine rice and rice flour and it is not too sweet if you a fan of dessert but not too sweet kind then this is it : crunchy outside and soft inside - it is so dangerous because you can eat a lot so be careful :))

Kanom Mo Kaeng!


Kanom Mo Kaeng or Thai coconut pudding!

It is a traditional Thai dessert which can make with a variety of favor such as taro, mung bean, sweet potato, pumpkin or just plan only egg and today I made with Mung bean. However no matter which favor or filling you add but everything need to add coconut milk and egg. The sweetness as I like when it comes making a Thai dessert is palm sugar which had a good favor of sweetness and not too sharp sweet. On top of that- there is a topping which made from deep fried sliced shallot which give you a great aroma to finish up at the end of furnishings cooking method.I ate 2 of those quickly, pleas try --it is another simple and delicious to make.

Afternoon Tea !

Inspired Baking everything with matcha today , just because of my friends brought me a matcha and green tea from Japan. So, for our meeting afternoon tea today I made it for them and let's them also contribute some work to sandwich the macarons.
My personal, I love everyhting with green tea and this bring me back a good memory when I visited Japan where I ate green tea ice cream everyday.  I also, mad a drink- green tea latte and a matcha cookies beside macarons. I can't wait to go back school and come back to share more of my experience at Le Cordon Blue in Paris with my Diploma in pastry chef at the end of this year. I hope to open pastry class after all I have learned,so  "Stay tune".

Kanom Tom!

Many Thai dessert made from coconut and especially for this dessert , both stuffing made from shredded  coconut meat cook in the slow heat with palm sugar until it thick then let its cooling down then shape it as a ball shape. Before boil the coconut ball in the boil water it had to coated with glutenous rice flour then cook it until it float then roll it on the young shredded coconut meat. It is so good and it has been always my love dessert ever.

Kanom Tauy!

Tauy means bowl, especial this dessert serve in a special bowl. Although it is not a lot of ingredients to make this dessert but there is a lot of step which need to beware to make its successful .You can find this dessert everywhere in Thailand and it is not very sweet taste. I made from coconut milk and have two layer- bottom kind of sweet a bit and top layer have a bit salty taste which make them both goes well together.

Kanom Thai !!!


Every time when I come back home, I always eat this- Kanom Tuay, so today I made those delicious and hard to find in US. My goal to amke Kanom Tauy but end up I got to make all of those 3 other kinds because they base almost the same. It was a fun day and full:)).\
First start with, master Kanom Tuay or literally means dessert in the bowl which bring the icon of the dessert. The texture like custard- sweet on inside and creamy-salty on the top.The rest are Kanom Kuay, Kanom Fak Tong and Kanom Tum which they are base from coconut mix with difference fruit then call the in difference name according to the fruit and the method.

Bua Loy or Taro Ball In Sweet Coconut Milk!


Bua Loy or Taro Ball In Sweet  Coconut Milk . It is very popular since I was born. As a child, I love it so much according the the sticky texture and fun because how it is made. You can add any favor , could be green color from pandant , yello from ginger from, Pink from strawberry or black form sesame seed. The ball made from mixed of flour and taro which kneed it into the ball then bring to boil and add into sweet coconut milk.

Black Sticky Rice With Custard



The Black sticky rice is very well know in Thailand-especially on the dessert item.
The rice itself can eat as a regular rice which serve with the food but when it is used
for making a desert the black sticky rice will give you a unique character as sweet,
chewier and have own aroma.
